Description: A Southern Blue Ringed Octopus propels itself along the seafloor whilst out hunting in the dark waters of Rye Pier, Victoria, Australia. In Victoria we are blessed with extremely charismatic Blue Ringed Octopus that are extremely active, particularly at night, and will often jump and swim to move to new areas. I have spent the best part of 3 years photographing and documenting their behavior and managed to produce this image as the octopus was moving from one hunting area to the next. Shot with Olympus OMD EM1 Mk2 with 12-40mm f2.8 pro lens, Isotta Housing and single Sea and Sea YS-D2 strobe with Retra Snoot
