Photo Contest – February 2021

Description: It's been a challenging blenny to photograph: this due to its small size and its behaviour that makes it viewable only in the first meter of water. The sea surface has to be calm and there can't be freshwater layers on the surface (very rare condition in the Trieste gulf, where this picture was taken). I found this specimen between yellow and red algal turfs, so I decided to frame the subject with a low depth of field.
