Photo Contest – December 2021

Description: A straight-on shot of a school of rockfish. In the 6 weeks I spent trying to get this shot, the visibility and schools of rockfish only aligned twice. And even then it wasn't until the final dive of the last weekend I could get the composition right. The idea was to get the moment you enter the school as it parts before you lit from below, with the kelp and the rest of the fish silhouetted.
