Dive sites are carefully chosen not only for great subjects you will encounter underwater but also for the chance to open up the dive deck. At least once a day, the usual schedule is thrown out the window! Time for total freedom with your camera. Opt for two lazy long shallow day dives or the full 4. It’s up to you.
The photo workshop is open to divers of all experience levels. It will help you improve your photos in a relaxing and non-competitive environment. During the trip, there will be a number of evening presentations, covering a varied range of topics, from the basics, such as camera settings and getting the correct exposure, to different lighting techniques and photo editing software. There will also be opportunities to have some 1:1 help, either on the boat between dives or in the water.
Departing from Hurghada, you will spend 7 nights onboard on a full board basis (twin-share cabin). Flights are with Easyjet or Thomas Cook from Gatwick or Bristol, and transfers are also included. At the end of the week, you will have day use of a hotel and buffet lunch while you wait for your flight home.

This 31st August – Explore magical Oman onboard Oman Aggressor for only £1575

The Daymaniyat Islands are the jewels of diving in the Gulf of Oman. The reefs themselves are beautiful, with hard and soft corals drenching the walls and sea bed. Nudibranchs and seahorses hide from prying eyes. Look out for honeycomb morays, stingrays and leopard sharks. Lose yourself as jacks snapper and batfish swirl around you at the Aquarium. Divers regularly see both green sea turtles & hawksbill turtles. The summer months are the best time to see passing whale sharks, bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins and even sometimes humpback whales can be encountered.
Oman Aggressor sleeps only 22 divers across a whopping 45m liveaboard. There are 3 types of cabins to choose from, deluxe, master or the suite. The saloon area is not just the hub of life when not diving or snorkelling. This is a modern, airy communal space, where the all important meals are served. Save £500 Breathtaking diving in the Komodo National park, where pelagic encounters meet magnificent macro. The adventure begins when you board Emperor Raja Laut with 3-4 dives a day, free nitrox and park fees included. Your holiday is based on a standard cabin (full board) and includes 3 meals a day, afternoon snacks, 1 cocktail party on a local island (weather allowing); drinking water, tea, coffee, guide, 12 lt air fills, weights and local airport transfers.

The Komodo National Park itinerary is filled with exotic and far flung dives that will make your logbook the envy of others. Sangeang, Banta, Satonda and Komodo are the focal points of the trip. Sangeang and Satonda islands are the macro capitals of this itinerary, Decorator crabs, popcorn shrimp and squat lobsters are some of the minuscule marvels you can find on the black sands.
If you are want to find pelagics, Banta Island is the place to head. The strong currents and cold upwellings draw sharks, tuna, barracuda and mackerel to the walls. The itinerary spends 5 full days around Komodo national park itself, where manta, dolphins and reef sharks all await. Harlequin sweetlips shy away around massive gorgonians (home to microscopic pygmy seahorses). Weave around pinnacles, looking for scorpionfish, crocodile fish and longnose hawkfish. The variety is endless.

This 22nd September dive the fantastic reefs and wrecks of Palau onboard Rock Island Aggressor for only £1500
Save £1175 and dive the famous Blue Corner, German Channel and Peleliu around the stunning islands of Palau, onboard the Rock Islands Aggressor. Your trip starts on arrival in Koror (ROR). The Aggressor liveaboard package is based on a twin double cabin (full board) – a deluxe cabin upgrade is available. Soft drinks, water, tea, coffee and a limited selection of local beer and wine are included. There are usually 4 dives a day and 3 night dives during the trip.
Dinner on the final evening is not included but the crew will be able to assist with reservations and recommendations. All transfers are prebooked but must be paid for on locally. Ho Ho Ho! Vobster Quay’s recording-breaking charity Santa diving event returns on Sunday 15th December 2024 for another round of festive fundraising frivolities. Run in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and Help For Heroes, this ever-popular annual fundraising event aims to raise sack-loads of cash for these two very deserving charities.
Divers of all levels are invited to grab their Santa outfits – and as much festive cheer as they can muster – and head down to Vobster Quay near Mells, Somerset for a mass sponsored Santa dive in aid of charity. In previous years, the event has attracted divers from the far corners of the UK to join in the festive merriment for a final festive dive before the Christmas and New Year break. Back in 2015, the event smashed the world record for the most Santa divers with 188 divers taking to the waters donning their festive finery – a record that remains unbeaten to this day!
Vobster Santas isn’t just about setting records – it’s also about raising some serious cash for charity. Vobster Quay encourages all divers to get into the spirit of the season to raise much-needed funds for two very deserving charities – the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and Help For Heroes.
Through individual sponsorship and online donations, divers can invite their friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor them to plunge into the balmy waters of Vobster Quay dressed in full festive finery. Since the very first Santa dive in 2007, the event has raised over £52,000 for charity. “It’s been over 17 years since the very first charity Santa dive took place at Vobster Quay and every year the event just keeps getting bigger and better” enthused Vobster Quay owner, Amy Stanton.
“Vobster Santas is a great way for divers to say a massive thank you to the both the RNLI and Help For Heroes – two very deserving charities close to our hearts. We’re immensely proud of all that Vobster Santas has achieved and hope that even more divers will join this year’s event on Sunday 15th December.
