BARE is celebrating 50 years in business by introducing a very special X-Mission Evolution drysuit for recreational and technical divers.
The 50 Years Deep Anniversary Edition X-Mission Evolution boasts timeless iconography and the durability and features divers know and trust.
Based in British Columbia in Canada, BARE has been making premium immersion wear and diving equipment for half a century, with many innovations along the way. Today, the pinnacle of BARE’s know-how and expertise is the flagship X-Mission Evolution drysuit.
To mark the milestone, BARE’s 50th Anniversary X-Mission Evolution is offered with some unique features and details. This stunning suit is ideal for working commercial divers, advanced technical divers, or recreational divers who want the best combination of flexibility and durability in a travel-friendly package. The suit is offered for a limited period only.
This innovative X-Mission Evolution uses the most advanced materials and construction methods, designed and purpose-built in partnership with a team of technical cave divers to meet their demanding requirements. With material that’s rated most flexible among all BARE drysuits, this suit is perfect for movement in the water and on the surface, and is highly packable for travel.
Unique style
BARE has made some changes to the standard drysuit to make this X-Mission Evolution stand out from the crowd. It is available in unique Military Green and Anthracite Grey colour combination, and features special ‘50 Years Deep’ badging on the right shoulder. Below the left shoulder, a maple leaf emblem highlights the company’s proud Canadian heritage.
Buyers will also receive a free anniversary beanie hat and coozie emblazoned with retro-inspired BARE badging. These are unavailable to buy and limited to Anniversary drysuit owners only.
Cut and sizing
Two versions are available: a men’s and women’s 50th Anniversary Edition X-Mission Evolution. Nineteen standard men’s sizes are offered from S to 4XLS, and eleven standard women’s sizes as well as made-to-measure (MTM) custom fit models in both.
BARE retailers are able to offer sizing help and advice for customers who wish to place an order.
X-Mission Evolution features
- 2MM nylon/smoothskin ‘Smart Collar’ with vented neck drain provides an improved seal with the BARE dry hood
- Low-profile valves
- Removable inflator valve backer pad reduces discomfort as a result of the ‘squeeze’ at depths
- Anatomically-shaped torso, arms and legs
- Lightweight low-profile plastic dry zipper and offset protected zipper flap to avoid contact between dry zipper and outer flap
- Includes reinforcement patch for heating system
- Low back M-PADZ reinforcement panel for added durability
- Adjustable elastic waistband at the back of the drysuit for snugging up for that perfect fit
- Field-replaceable suspenders and crotch strap
- Includes four-point suspenders
- Two-layer reinforced pee valve patches on the interior fabric for durability
- M-PADZ knee protection
- Includes Tech Boots and two expandable Tech/DATA pockets
- Expandable Tech/DATA pockets include five bungee cords (three regular/two thick)
- Two-needle ‘felled seam’ construction increases seam integrity, is low profile and less prone to abrasion and finishes for a clean look
- Flexible double taped reinforcement at ‘critical wear’ seam points for added durability

The SP series neoprene suits deliver incredible diving comfort to even the most demanding divers. Fabulous style included. Designed and engineered in Germany.
The smart 3D cut and the pre-shaped arms and legs not only ensure flexibility and a perfect fit, but also help you slip into the suit with ease. Cuffs on the arms and legs guarantee perfect sealing, which is further enhanced by the flap on the back zipper.
Zippers at the wrists and ankles provide additional comfort and ensure easy donning and doffing. The small neck zipper adds another layer of comfort.
The neoprene ribs in the back of the knees and crook of the arms are unique. The clever concept ensures optimum comfort when bending the arms or legs.
Shoulder and knee protectors protect the suit in high-wear areas. The small computer safety strap holds the device in place. The SP suit series is available for men and women in 5 & 7mm and offers a wide range of sizes including numerous intermediate sizes.
Every day, DYNAMICNORD works to keep its environmental impact as low as possible. Only the best available neoprene is used for the SP series of neoprene suits. It goes without saying that the neoprene is made from limestone. It is sourced from nature and has less negative impact on the environment. Furthermore, Carbon Black, one of the main components of neoprene, is pyrolysed from used tires. This reduces energy consumption and cuts CO₂ emissions by 200 grams per neoprene suit. Innovative dyeing machines reduce water and energy consumption during production by 60%.
